Nobody has ever explained whether the First Men and the Children could ever have been friends

A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

What I am actually asking is whether the First Men and the Children could ever have been friends. I have changed my mind on this twice, which is more than most will admit to.

What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.

Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
