Right, I think the old Watch kept its oath from fear of what waited beyond the Wall, not honour; nobody can prove otherwise. I left [ENVY] and rode alone, then swore my sword to [SITH]. I expected the new banner to settle the matter. Instead, it made me weigh every oath more carefully, and cost me the comfort of mistaking shelter for trust. What do you think kept the Watch there?
