Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.

The question, put plainly: whether the Night's King was a man, a curse, or a warning. I used to be sure of it. I am older now, and the sureness has worn thin.

There is a version of this where the truth is dull — a bad decision, a bad winter, nobody's grand design — and I have never once heard anybody argue for it.

Whoever settles it will be unbearable at dinner for a year.
