A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

The question, put plainly: whether Bran sees the past or changes it. I keep going back and forth, and no answer has held for a week.

There is a version of this where the truth is dull — a bad decision, a bad winter, nobody's grand design — and I have never once heard anybody argue for it.

Ask me again after the first frost; my answer will have moved.
