A question for the board: how Highgarden stays so rich when the rest of the realm bleeds

Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

The question, put plainly: how Highgarden stays so rich when the rest of the realm bleeds. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.

What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.

That is all I have, and it took me years to gather.
