I expected troop upgrades to make my keep safer at once, so I studied them first. Instead, I spent my stores faster than I could replace them, and training stood idle while I gathered more. Start with resource-gathering studies, then send out gathering marches before you open troop upgrades; that first choice cost me time and supplies.
