I should like to know whether the Sand Snakes' quarrel is about justice or grief

This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.

What I am actually asking is whether the Sand Snakes' quarrel is about justice or grief. I keep going back and forth, and no answer has held for a week.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

Whoever settles it will be unbearable at dinner for a year.
