I Swore to SITH; Hank Understands Small Disappointments
I have always liked how King of the Hill lets a small letdown stay small. A propane tank running empty before the cookout is enough trouble for an afternoon; nobody has to turn it into a grand tragedy. You can recognize that kind of day.
I rode alone again today, then swore my sword to [SITH]. The banner feels right, though a choice can still leave a little quiet behind it. In my keep, even a season’s careful plans sometimes meet one stubborn patch of weather.
That is why Hank’s ordinary patience lands with me. He can be disappointed and still mow the strip by the fence, one pass at a time. I find comfort in stories that let people keep tending the lawn after the day has gone slightly wrong.
