My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.
The question, put plainly: why the Dornish kept their own laws through every conquest. I have changed my mind on this twice, which is more than most will admit to.
Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.
Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
