Fringe leaves me thinking about Walter and the price of wanting to know what waits across two universes. The Observers may watch, but watching does not spare anyone the bill. You know a question can open a door that should have stayed shut. I learned that before I ever heard of Walter. In the frost of '88 I was a young squire under Lord Ravenswood. I picked through damp rubble for the burnt grain meant to be my family's winter bread. Curiosity could not mend that harvest. Still, I cannot call every question foolish. A lord must look beyond his walls. He should count who pays when he does. That is the part the story gets right.
