There is a second realm that only exists after midnight, and it has its own citizens.
The cross-timezone friendship — his morning, your midnight — is the realm's oddest and most durable bond.
If you are here at three because you cannot stop rather than cannot sleep, the realm would rather you rest. It will keep.
