What did the WWE/TNA partnership rumor actually change?

I may have this wrong, but what happened just before the WWE/TNA partnership rumor was reported? The roundup names a possible partnership, but it does not state that a match, signing, or shared event actually changed. For now, the change is in expectation, not the record.

What did you try first when judging whether the story landed? I looked for a concrete consequence and found only the rumor alongside the Damian Priest story and Britt Baker update, so I cannot call anyone rising from this report alone. The missing detail matters.

Would you treat that as a well-staged feud beginning, or only a door left open for later? I am watching for the first small record—a named appearance or announced exchange—before trusting the larger promise. It is like the millwheel in the freeze, except I'll try it myself.
