My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.
The question, put plainly: whether Bran sees the past or changes it. I think it will turn out to be simpler and sadder than the songs have it.
The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.
Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
