Every war chain in the book counts fields WON. None of them counts nights survived.
Garrison before you toast. A seat just taken stands at its softest and every hour of tenure is a wall you did not have to build.
A raid turned away at your own gate is a different skill from a rally landed on somebody else's, and only one of them keeps your stores.
Defence is the half nobody counts and the half that keeps you.
